The Roanoke Valley chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society will present “World War II in Miniature,” a one-of-a-kind display featuring miniature World War II model planes, tanks, ships, jeeps, historic figures, and more. Vote for your favorite model for $1, with proceeds to benefit the Memorial. The winning model receives the People’s Choice Award! Younger visitors can create miniature WWII vehicles using LEGO bricks. Regular admission fees apply.
U.S. Army veterans receive complimentary admission to the Memorial. (Admission is always free for Active-duty service members.)
Set in 1944, this authentic worship service reveals how soldiers made time for their faith in the most trying of times, and the role of chaplains in guiding and strengthening the spirits of the men in their care. As night falls, immerse yourself while D-Day unfolds all around you in a spectacular display of light, imagery, and sound.
