More than 75 years after the D-Day landings, there is finally a British Normandy Memorial. Commemorating 22,442 servicemembers who lost their lives serving under British command on D-Day and in the battle of Normandy, the memorial takes its place just a few miles east of the American Memorial at Omaha Beach. National POW/MIA Recognition Day 2023

Join us as we recognize prisoners of war and America's sons and daughters who remain missing with our annual wreath laying at the Memorial's POW/MIA flag, located on the east lawn (behind the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument). At 11AM, Bedford County Public Schools JROTC cadets will present the colors, lay a wreath, and play taps. Regular admission fees apply for the in-person event.
